YAYOI  KAIHOKO

Welcome to My Official Website!

Thank you for visiting my homepage.

My name is Yayoi Kaihoko, and I’m a Vocal Coach based in Tokyo and Yokohama.

Are you truly happy with the way your voice sounds right now?

There are many different ways to use your voice.
In my lessons, we’ll explore the tone that suits you best, improve your vocal technique, and learn how to use your voice with more control and confidence.

Your voice resonates through your whole body — together, let’s discover the most beautiful version of that resonance.

Instead of copying someone else’s voice, let’s focus on expressing yourself — learning how to bring out the most natural and expressive version of your voice.

【 PROFILE 】

I specialize in Black music genres such as Jazz, Soul, Blues, Funk, and Gospel — all of which have had a deep influence on my musical journey.

I studied music theory and performance at Mesar Haus Music School.

My professional experience includes working in a variety of settings, such as TV studio sessions, recording projects, and live performances.

I performed as a resident vocalist at live music restaurants and lounges in Tokyo, where guests could enjoy full meals along with live Jazz, R&B, Soul, and Pop music.

I also regularly perform at children’s centers and senior day service facilities throughout Tokyo.

I was a long-time member of a Tokyo-based gospel choir and have performed at venues such as JZ Brat SOUND OF TOKYO and Sweet Basil STB139.

I was honored to share the stage with renowned gospel artist JOE PACE during his visit to Japan.

I worked as a full-time Vocal Coach at a major vocal school in Tokyo, teaching many students. I currently teach at a leading production agency as a dedicated instructor.

I also provide training for musical auditions. Several of my students have successfully passed auditions for productions such as Annie and The Bears' School (Kuma no Gakkō) musical.

Currently, I teach at several studios in both Tokyo and Yokohama.

Once a year, I organize a live concert at a music venue where students who wish to perform can take the stage together.
